Kawa Eatery is a cafe located in Jakarta that just opened last year. They wanted to use the name kawa which was taken from the owner's daughter, and in Japanese the word kawa means river. Here I implemented both river and coffee into a logo that became the main logo of Kawa Eatery.
The story behind the logo
川 (kawa) in Japanese means river. The character is often used to represent the flow of water, here to interpret the flow of water into a logo was taken as an inspiration and the main idea behind the logo. How do you interpret a river into a logo while still keeping the coffee and cafe image portrait in the logo.
